CHANCES OF FOURTH MONSOON SPELL TO AFFECT SINDH, HAVE INCREASED!


SYNOPSIS:

A cyclonic circulation lies over Southern Assam and adjoining areas while another cyclonic circulation lies over Comorin and adjoining Maldives.

Monsoon trough is affecting the northern areas of India.

A western trough is affecting the isolated areas of Pakistan, which is interacting with monsoonal winds.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT NOW?

FOURTH monsoon spell is expected to affect Sindh province from July 25 and may continue to affect until July 27 or 28. There are chances of rain with thunderstorm in various areas of KARACHI, HYDERABAD, MIRPUR KHAS and THATTA divisions while in isolated areas of NAWABSHAH division during the mentioned time. Isolated rainfall might also occur in LARKANA and SUKKUR divisions at the same time.



Isolated HEAVY_DOWNPOUR might also occur somewhere in Lower Sindh, which may trigger local URBAN floods in very few places during the period as mentioned in previous monsoon updates.

Another fresh monsoon spell might affect the parts of Punjab, KPK, Kashmir and Northeastern Balochistan during the last days of July or early August however, chances are still "POOR" at the moment.



Monsoon 2020 is expected to remain ACTIVE in monsoonal belt of subcontinent including some of Pakistan in the month of August.
