Job Description 
 
  • Vendor Management; Ensure pre-qualification of vendors/subcontractors/service providers. Source vendors according to the technical requirement. Assess supplier/vendor’s strength. Negotiate price and any product/service related concerns.

  • Liaise with Government authorities in import related matters and persuade them with changes in existing policies towards company’s interest.

  • Liaise with concerned regulatory bodies to update regarding change in policies or procedures.

  • Coordinate with technical/finance departments and legal advisors to review, finalize and execute project agreements such as EPC Contracts, Security Agreements, Financing Documents, to ensure timely Financial Close.

  • Participate in project meetings to understand the requirement and to exert a shaping influence: support project team for on time issuance of MRP; Plan and execute procurement acquisition strategy while focusing on maximizing cost control.

  • Forecast, strategize and prioritize the activities and communicate to concerned execution team well in time to ensure smooth execution of the project and plant operations.

  • Plan and schedule inventory management in consultation with Project/Operations department.

  • Supervise logistic function; manage and oversee timely local/international transportation of equipment, materials and raw materials from vendor premises to site.

  • Manage Purchasing/subcontracting related activities such as arranging RFQ floating, Collection of Quotations, review of received quotes, analyzing cost and Terms & Conditions and preparation of Comparative Statements, till award of PO/contract and respective executions.

  • Perform risk assessment of respective activities and define objectives & management programs.

  • Ensure that all execution activities are within the allocated budget.

  • Ensure that staff is equipped with the requisite knowledge; identify training requirements to develop subordinates; manage performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support, feedback and formal appraisal.
